Scenarios for South Sudan in 2020

This report about possible developments in South Sudan up to 2020 is based on a study by Jaïr van der Lijn of SIPRI, commissioned by PAX. The report presents different scenarios for South Sudan for 2020. Its purpose is to contribute to the debate on how to stimulate peace, security and development in South Sudan, and to present implications for (inter)national action.

The CSRF, hosted by Saferworld and swisspeace, was established in 2016 to support the aid sector in South Sudan to be more conflict-sensitive. We provide analysis, convene discussions, share learning, and support capacities to strengthen positive contributions to peace and reduce the risks of unintended harm. Together we are building a movement for better aid in South Sudan.
