The analysis in this report is informed by dialogue and discussion that took place at the Protection Cluster workshop in June/July 2014, which was facilitated by Ferdinand von Habsburg-Lothringen. The information presented here is changed from the original workshop report and adapted for the humanitarian community in South Sudan, presenting a broad overview of positive trends and conflict dynamics and stressing the importance of analysis in the protection and broader humanitarian response in South Sudan.
