Scenarios for Sudan: Avoiding Political Violence Through 2011

This report from 2009 summarizes three workshops designed to explore opportunities to avoid political violence in Sudan through the end of 2011 thus after the referendum in then Southern Sudan. Sponsored by the United States Institute of Peace, these workshops took place during April and May 2009 with assistance from Policy Futures, LLC. Twenty Sudan experts participated.

The CSRF, hosted by Saferworld and swisspeace, was established in 2016 to support the aid sector in South Sudan to be more conflict-sensitive. We provide analysis, convene discussions, share learning, and support capacities to strengthen positive contributions to peace and reduce the risks of unintended harm. Together we are building a movement for better aid in South Sudan.
