This research aims to analyze the dynamic between community security and security promotion initiatives. In the case of South Sudan, it aims to analyze what interaction takes place between community security and specific programmes such as the DDR programme, community disarmament and, to the extent mentioned by respondents at the grassroots level, SSR.

The CSRF, hosted by Saferworld and swisspeace, was established in 2016 to support the aid sector in South Sudan to be more conflict-sensitive. We provide analysis, convene discussions, share learning, and support capacities to strengthen positive contributions to peace and reduce the risks of unintended harm. Together we are building a movement for better aid in South Sudan.
